Soul

Soul

What is a soul?  Everyone has their opinion on if we have one and what it is.

The Cambridge Dictionary says the soul is

“the spiritual part of a person that some people believe continues to exist in some form after their body has died, or the part of a person that is not physical and experiences deep feelings and emotions”

For me this seems as close a definition as I have found that encompasses what I think.  You might think that your soul is something entirely and that’s okay. We are all different and it’s important to respect that.

The human soul has many facets and is affected by everything in life, our mind, our bodies and our environments. When we start to change mentally and physically, we can forget to look deep within ourselves. The changes we make to the inner self can impact our minds and bodies.

To enhance our wellbeing, self-acceptance is key. This means not only accepting ourselves as we are but also striving to be our best selves, not good or bad, but full of promise.

For this part of the blog I will focus on the emotional aspect of being human.  I want understand how to nourish the feelings of joy and calmness but also embrace the emotions that might be considered negative. This is part of the blog that delves into the human experience on both the emotional and spiritual sense.

No matter what you believe your soul is, I am sure you will find something that can enhance your understanding of who you are.
